< /Our Mission >

Girls Can Code is Swiss based non-profit organisation, founded by a motivated team of industry professionals, educators, students and parents. Our initiative is focused on supporting and encouraging girls to explore technology, through a series of real-life projects, innovative labs, leadership classes and bootcamps designed to capture wide interest spectrums.

We believe that girls are curious, capable and creative – every girl deserves to take part in directing and creating technology which is shaping our world.

Girls Can Code mission is to provide nurturing and supporting environment where girls can explore different opportunities in the digital world by working closely with inspiring university students and industry professionals on real-life projects.

Our approach provides girls with opportunities to shape tomorrow’s digital world by working on meaningful impact projects worldwide, while learning important digital skills.

We work to encourage sparks of talent and curiosity by introducing girls to the software tools and processes that are used to build apps, games, websites and robots – inspiring them to explore academic or career opportunities in the fields of technology.

< /Our Goal >

Girls Can Code goal is to close the gender gap which currently looms over both the tech industry and engineering universities, and to empower girls to fulfill their potential with an understanding of our digital world desire to learn.

Our association aims to act as an umbrella for supporting a nationwide movement to engage more girls in various aspects of technology, from supporting the education process to providing opportunities to work on active impact projects.

Girls Can Code will collaborate with partner organisations and universities across Switzerland via a membership scheme to increase the number of girls applying for STEM related tertiary education programmes.

Girls Can Code will provide guidance and support to its members in the following formats:

  • Educational Curricula
  • Training workshops for instructors
  • Collaborative leadership workshops
  • Impact Projects
  • Fundraising support

With the help of our partners, we can provide girls with the necessary skills to be an instrumental part of shaping tomorrow’s digital world.
