About Swiss Olympiad in Informatics (SOI)
The Swiss Olympiad in Informatics is a programming contest for young people under 20 years of age. Since 1992, the competition has been offering computer enthusiasts a platform to match their skills with others who share their interest. At the same time, the Swiss Olympiad in Informatics also elects the Swiss delegation for the International Olympiad in Informatics. It might just be you representing our country at the next international event while getting in touch with participants from over 80 countries around the world!
SOI Prep Labs:
Students will learn how to solve Python programming puzzles and individually compete in the Swiss Olympiad in Informatics competition where they will test their programming skills and algorithmic problem solving.
Student competitions provide a myriad of opportunities, whether participants are finalists or not. At Girls Can Code we believe that competitions are a way for young people to demonstrate their talent and gain confidence. They are a stepping-stone to daring to do one’s best and therefore to achieving greater things in life. A competition journey is a process, not an endpoint. It is an opportunity to challenge yourself, and yes, to have fun solving programming and algorithmic “puzzles”.
